5. Batman Forever: Red Book Edition
Joel Schumacher's Batman Forever is one of the more divisive Batman movies to date - neither as grimly artful as Tim Burton's Batman films nor as shamelessly silly as Schumacher's sequel Batman & Robin, it's a film that never quite strikes a consistent tone despite its intriguing elements.

Batman Forever: Red Book Edition attempts to redress the tonal balance and create a movie more in step with Burton's films.
Batman Forever Red Book Edition Fan Edit Torrents 4,6/5 9329reviews A newly revamped edit of the 1995 summer blockbuster, with all the great deleted footage put back in. Sillier moments are trimmed and Elliot Goldenthal's original soundtrack is mixed with a new score by Hans Zimmer.
- In 2008 a fan editor named Scaperat attempted to restore the original cut with Batman Forever: Red Book Edition. But the edit was mediocre at best, the colors were way to muted, the deleted scenes not cleaned up, the choice of music for the deleted scenes poor, and in bad DVD quality.
- Batman Forever- Red Book Version Have any of you heard of this version of Batman Forever? Apparently it has some of the deleted scenes that dealt more with Bruce not wanting to be Batman and actually makes the movie make sense.
- Jun 11, 2019 Batman Forever: The Red Book Edition is a fanedit I've been pursuing since late 2016, mainly due to its popularity with fans of Batman lore and especially the Burton/Schumacher films. Now, thanks to Masirimso17, I was finally able to watch it in January of last year, and I can certainly say — this cut lives up to its promise for me.
This cut of the film not only significantly tones down Jim Carrey and Tommy Lee Jones' mugging as The Riddler and Two-Face respectively, but restores deleted scenes exploring the psychology of Bruce Wayne (Val Kilmer), while also de-saturating much of the image and placing an emphasis on the colour red.
It's still a rough around the edges movie, for sure, but by toning down the silliness and amping up the visceral feel, it's an effortlessly superior cut of the film. Good luck trying to fix Batman & Robin, though.
